Abstract

An update on proceedings from the Second Regular Session of the 130^th Maine Legislature (1/5/22-4/20/22). Topics covered include several bills relating to affordable housing; tribal sovereignty bills; and anti-discrimination bills such as LD 598, An Act to Prohibit Discrimination in Employment and School Based on Hair Texture or Hairstyle. Also discusses the status of Title 42, the federal law allowing for the expulsion of asylum seekers from countries where there is communicable disease.
