Abstract
Brief overview of LD 2001, an amended bill that proposes the creation of an advisory council to oversee the teaching of African American and Wabanaki studies in Maine public schools. Maine already has laws requiring the teaching of these subjects, but many schools are still not in compliance. The advisory council would help school districts to implement these areas of study into the curriculum.
