Abstract
A discussion of the benefits of breastfeeding and the barriers that prevent mothers - particularly mothers who are also new immigrants or asylum seekers - from practicing it. Representatives from local health practices and Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Programs discuss the resources mothers need to successfully breastfeed and support available in Maine.
