Abstract
Portland allows dogs to run unleashed in Capisic Pond Park, the Western Cemetery and on the Eastern and Western Promenades. The city is looking to change the animal control ordinance because of the dog waste problem and concerns about the appropriateness of animals in cemeteries and concerns about dogs running free in areas frequented by children and adults. Friends of the Western Cemetery opposes eliminating the cemetery's current exemption to the leash law. Details.
