Abstract

Manute Bol, the former National Basketball Association player who has been touted as the star of the Portland Mountain Cats basketball team, failed to show up for a March 19 press conference in Portland. Mark McClure, president, general manager and minority owner of the team, expressed anger that Bol failed to show. McClure has signed a contract for 13 games at the Cumberland County Civic Center, and is looking for between 3,500 and 4,000 people per game. Details.
