Abstract
"City" piece on Elizabeth Noyce's proposal to construct a seven-story garage on the north side of Portland's Cumberland Avenue between Elm and Preble streets. The building at 317 Cumberland Avenue must be demolished to accommodate the garage, forcing the current tenants, all artists, to vacate the premises. The Boulos Company, which manages Noyce's considerable holdings in Portland, is also planning to demolish another Noyce property, the building at 42 Elm Street. The fate of two lease-holders at that building, Print Media and Elm Street Dry Cleaners, is unknown. Details.
