Abstract

"City" piece on Chrissy Wheaton, 14, a deaf girl who has bipolar disorder. Chrissy attends the Gov. Baxter School for the Deaf, but can't live in the dorms because she is too violent. School Administrative District 61 in Naples, her local school district, won't approve the residential treatment she needs, which would cost $150,000 annually. Tina Wheaton, Chrissy's mother, is trying to get her daughter the help she needs. Details.
