Abstract
"City" piece on marijuana farming in Maine. Law enforcement agencies in the state seized more than 108,000 marijuana plants between 1984 and 1993, more than in any other New England state. The New England average is one arrest for every 100 plants seized, while in Maine it's one arrest for every 150 plants seized. Rob, 25, of Portland, grew 3.5 pounds of high quality marijuana, which he sold for $7,500.
