Abstract

"City" piece on the Eastern Promenade trail in Portland. Completion dates for the trail have repeatedly been postponed due to funding and environmental problems. Trail organizers eventually expect to have a 2.1-mile trail that starts at India Street, goes around the base of the Eastern Promenade, goes under Tukey's Bridge and connects to the Back Cove trail. Known toxins near the city's wastewater treatment plant could cause costs to escalate. Details.
