Abstract

Portland students this month will be given a limited voice in school policy discussions. Student governments at Portland and Deering high schools have decided to create a joint council to discuss education issues. Members from Portland High were appointed, while the manner in selecting the Deering High members has not been determined. Portland joins Lewiston and Falmouth in giving students representation on local school boards.
