Abstract

"City" piece on Regional Waste Systems, which is considering refinancing $64.7 million of its debt. The agency's investment banker, J.P. Morgan Securities, has alerted RWS officials to low interest rates available on the bond market. RWS could pay around three percent lower interest than what it is currently paying, and save its 31 member communities millions of dollars. RWS is not seeking competing proposals, and could pursue the refinancing with little public notice. Details.
