Abstract

"Edge" piece on Peregrine Press, a printmakers' cooperative that has been functioning as a nonprofit in Portland since 1991. Peregrine's studio is in the Bakery Building on Pleasant Street, and membership in the cooperative has doubled in the past two years. A number of printmakers, including Kate Mahoney and Alice Spencer, started the organization with Mahoney's Civil War-vintage press and another on loan.
