Abstract

"City" piece on the new Civil Rights Team program, in which 68 Maine schools are participating. At Portland High School, where bias incidents dropped significantly between 1995 and 1996, teams meet weekly to plan anti-bias education and to hold small group discussions about issues of concern to students.
