Abstract
"Politics and Other Mistakes" piece about the "As Maine Goes" (AMG) website (www.asmainegoes.com), the self-proclaimed "interactive newsletter for conservative opinion in Maine." The site was founded and continues to be financed by John Hathaway of Kennebunk, whose run for the U.S. Senate was thwarted by allegations that he had sexually abused a young girl. Charlie Dutcher is listed as editor of the site, but Dutcher, in fact, doesn't seem to exist. The real editor appears to be Scott Fish, 47, of Dixmont, a legislative aide to House Minority Leader Jim Donnolly. Fish will neither confirm nor deny that he is the real Charlie Ducher.
