Abstract
Descriptions, photos, and aesthetic ratings of some of Portland's public art. Among the pieces of sculpture and painting described are: Stone Table (at Gorham's Corner), The Temperance Girl (at Portland Public Library), the Thomas Brackett Reed Statue (on the Western Prom), Michael (at Free and Temple Streets), Viking Ship (USM Portland Campus), Fine Arts Mural (Maine College of Art), Milkweed Pod (Baxter Boulevard and Preble Street Extension), the statues on Sacred Heart Church (Mellen Street), Michelangelo's Mural (above the pizza shop in Monument Square), and the John Ford Statue (at Gorham's corner).
