Abstract

"City" piece on Portland City Clerk Nadeen Daniels' use of space on municipal employee paychecks to advertise and offer a discount at "Best Remembered," which is a gift shop she owns. Portland city managerBob Ganley said Daniels did nothing improper citing other free advertising space on employee paychecks provided for-profit businesses like BJ's Wholesale Club and Sam's Club.
