Abstract
Profile of Shannon Browning, a recent college graduate and a member of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, who oversees the Oxford Street soup kitchen's breakfast program, run by the Preble Street Resource Center. Browning, a non-Catholic, and a native of Nashville, Tenn., is a graduate of the University of Tennesee, shares a Munjoy Hill apartment with three other three other Jesuit volunteers, and receives a stipend of only $85 a month, and free groceries. Hafid Lalaouic, a photographer, now working as a janitor says the the meals Browning serves is what sustain him as he attempts to get back on his feet professionally.
