Abstract
"City" piece on three candidates running for two Portland seats in the state House of Representatives. Term limits will force both Democratic state Reps. Eliza Townsend and Michael Brennan from office next year. Boyd Marley, a special education teacher, and Jim Banks, a state liquor inspector, are challenging each other for Townsend's seat. And Glenn Cummings, executive director of Portland Partnership, is running for Brennan's seat. All three of the candidates are Democrats. With a very brief look at each candidate's position on abortion and gay rights legislation.
