Abstract

"Politics and Other Mistakes" piece on a Democratic candidate for state representative named either Morrison Bonpasse or Morrison Bump (he's filed papers both ways) of Sheepscot, who has complained to the state Commission on Governmental Ethics that his opponent, Republican state represenative Kenneth Honey of Boothbay, should not have solicited the support of University of Maine president Peter Hoff and University of Maine System chancellor Terrance McTaggart. Hoff and McTaggart wrote letters to a local newspaper praising the fine job that Honey had done in Augusta.
