Abstract

"Edge" piece about the bad dating service experience of "Sue," who is described as a "well-educated, highly paid professional who holds an important position in the upper echelon of corporate America." Sue, who is 30, 5 feet 8 inches tall and wears a size 14, was turned away by Julie Pozzy, the owner of dating Successful Introductions dating service of Scarborough, because she didn't meet Pozzy's expectations of what men were looking for when they came to the service. Sue, angered by her experience, concluded that the sexist double standard is alive and well in dating-service databases.
