Abstract
"Edge" piece about the possible loss of the Maine Photo Co-op, the only community darkroom in southern Maine, which has to move from its quarters at 100 Oak Street in Portland because the building has recently changed hanged. In addition to providing darkrooms for those unable afford to have their own, the co-op has provided exhibit space, served as a gathering place where photographers could meet and learn from each other, and acted as a clearing house for children's classes , extension courses, and workshops.
