Abstract
"City" piece on the Maine Island Trail Association (MITA), which is concerned about the ever growing numbers of people who are trashing Casco Bay islands. In particular, MITA is worried about damage to Jewell, Crow, Little Chebeague and Little Snow islands, all of which are publicly owned and uninhabited. On March 14, MITA, which manages the islands, and the state will hold a public forum at the U.S. Coast Guard base in South Portland to discuss how to deal with the rising tide of island abuse.
