Abstract

"City" piece on a recent performance by local dancer Harold Philbrook and two fellow performers, which was presented in the storefront window of the former Kinicky's pizzeria in Portland. The April 16 performance was interrupted by Portland police lieutenant Vernon Malloch and another officer, who said two dancers dressed in flesh-colored body suits would have to put some clothes on or be charged with a violation of the city's obscenity ordinance. Philbrook insists the group was not breaking any laws.
