Abstract

"City" piece on the Maine College of Art (MECA) in Portland. The administration decided during the summer, without student input, to close MECA's buildings from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. But students say 24-hour access was one of the school's biggest selling points and was used to recruit applicants. A school-wide meeting will be held Sept. 6 to discuss the issue.
