Abstract

Profile of Jordan Kratz, 38, a Portland musician who is working on a documentary film of the Holocaust. Kratz's father's family came from the rural southeast region of the Carpathian Mountains, and 90 percent of them died during the Holocaust. Kratz's film, "A Family Journey Backwards...," is 5 1/2 hours long, with nearly 80 percent of it comprised of interviews with surviving family members.
