Abstract
"City" piece on Nappi's Towing and its sister company, Metro Towing, which are owned by Sandra Rizzo of Gorham, whose husband, Sullivan Rizzo, is a sergeant on the Portland Police Department. Portland city clerk Linda Cohen had earlier ruled that the companies ' operating licenses would be suspended for 30 days because license applications allegedly failed to indicate the owner's relationship to a city employee. Assistant City Manager Larry Mead overturned that ruling on Sept. 5, but removed Nappi's Towing from the city's towing list. The Rizzos are appealing the decision to Maine Superior Court, Mead said.
