Abstract
"City" piece on a 13-unit apartment house at 80 Grant Street in Portland owned by Therese and Paul Rheaume of Wolf Property Management in Gorham. The Portland Police Department has notified the Rheaumes that the property has been named a "hot spot." Because of this designation, the building will undergo special scrutiny from law enforcement officials and others concerned that tenants may disturb the peace in their Parkside neighborhood. Under the city building code, this classification is applied with police are called to a residence four times or more in 30 days. If the number of calls escalates to eight in the same time frame, the city has the power to declare any dwelling a "disorderly house" and close it down.
