Abstract
Gorham Trails was spun off from the Gorham Land Trust nearly two years ago, and currently has 100 members and around 70 acres of public access land in the town. One of the group's major projects is a proposed 4-mile hiking and biking route from the Buxton line to the Westbrook line. Gorham Trails would like to see a long-distance pathway built along the Mountain Division Rail Line, which runs from Portland to the White Mountains and is expected to be abandoned by Guilford Industries in the future.
