Abstract

Cumberland County commissioners on December 12 approved a budget that hiked spending 23 percent while it cut funding for human services by around 15 percent. The original budget cut human services spending by 31 percent, or $105,000, but $50,000 was restored. Nearly all the final cuts were suffered by day-care facilities.
