Abstract

On April 26, a variety of meetings were held in Portland on the subject of the city's proposed arts district. Paid consultants, artists, merchants and administrators discussed various aspects of a concept that some people hope will help reverse the economic decline of Congress Street. A cultural plan for the proposed arts district is expected to be completed later this summer. Details.
