Abstract
The Portland City Council on July 5 approved an emergency ordinance governing concerts. Owners of establishments offering live music will be in violation if the sound emanating from the premises can be measured at over 50 decibels at the nearest residence after 10 P.M. The new regulations were adopted in response to complaints about concerts at The Garage, an all-ages dance hall at Morrill's Corner.
