Abstract

The Portland Police Department has opened the second community policing center in the city at 101 Atlantic Street on Munjoy Hill. The center was opened after police interviewed 195 Munjoy Hill residents about crime and safety, and found that most felt safer on the streets as opposed to in their own homes.
