Abstract

Every year or so, we read about a movie being filmed along the coast of Maine. This year, it's called "In the Bedroom," starring Academy Award-winners Sissy Spacek, Marisa Tomei, and British actor Tom Wilkinson, and it's the debut feature by actor-turned-director Todd Field. Set in contemporary Camden and Rockland, the movie tells the story of Matt and Ruth Fowler, a long-married couple whose world is blown apart by a sudden, senseless crime. Based on early reviews, Field has succeeded in bringing his vision of Maine, its people and the landscape to life.
