"North by East" piece with statistics on the sea worm industry in Maine, noting that the state has 1,055 licensed worm diggers, and that the Maine market for sea worms in 2002 was valued at $7.9 million. Seabait Ltd., an aquaculture company based in England, has been conducting worm-farming research in Franklin, Maine, for the past 20 months.
