Abstract

"North by East" piece on a secession threat from the towns of Lincolnville and Islesboro, which have the second- and third-highest valuations in Waldo County. Islesboro, where residents feel they don't get the same services as mainlanders, has formed a committee to investigate the idea of seceding to neighboring Knox County.
