Abstract

Woodenboat magazine will hold its annual wooden-boat show at the Hinckley Great Harbor Marina in Southwest Harbor this year, forsaking its usual site in Newport, Rhode Island. Many vessels, mostly coasting schooners, were built in Southwest Harbor during the last century, and for 62 years the world-famous Hinckley Company has been building vessels in the town. Most of the local builders in Southwest Harbor use fiberglass in their construction. Details.
