    Abstract

    "North by East" piece on a map of Maine featured on Mister Bagel T-shirts that puts Yarmouth next door to Camden, among other mistakes. Eric Hartglass, presiding genius over one of the state's most successful homegrown fast-food chains, says he's had a printer add another town each time a new franchise opens. Hartglass and his wife, Gail, opened the first Mister Bagel in Portland in 1977 and now own or franchise 15 bagel shops.
