Abstract

"North by East" piece reporting that Kennebunk has awarded local farmer and hay wholesaler Henry LaBrie the right to hay a former town landfill that was closed in the mid-1980s. For his successful 18-cent offer, LaBrie believes he can get 750 to 1,000 bales of hay off the dump, with top-quality horse hay going for up to three dollars a bale.
