    Abstract

    "North by East" piece reporting that Maine Beverage Container Service of Portland, a recycling business created to handle returnable cans and bottles, recently shipped a cargo ship full of crushed green glass to Venice, Italy. Joe Mokarzel, president of Maine Beverage Container Service, said the green glass will be turned into wine bottles, and noted that there is not a market in New England for the green glass.
