Abstract
"The Talk of Bar Harbor" piece on the fifty-second annual Dark Harbor Dog Show, which was held last August at the Islesboro home of "Mrs. Parrish." The annual dog show lends a sense of continuity and tradition to the quiet summer community. Dorothy May Kinnicutt Parrish, called the Grande Dame of American Decorating, summered all of her 84 years at Dark Harbor.
