Abstract

Humorous article about Rockland's Maine Lobster Festival, attended last year by 15,786 people, and actress Mary Tyler Moore, who, on behalf of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), ran a full-page ad in the August 3, 1995, edition of Rockland Courier-Gazette, denouncing the evils of the festival, especially the boiling of live lobsters.
