Abstract
"Making It In Maine," piece on Scarborough-based Radical Radio, a troupe of four people who have created a rollicking musical revue that appeals to both kids and adults. In 1989, Karmo, Jerry Sanders, and Steve Underwood--Portland-area residents with performing arts experience--collaborated on a musical. In 1993, they created Radical Radio, and Brian Allen, former managing director of the Maine State Music Theatre in Brunswick, joined them as director and manager. Last fall, they had a successful three-week off-Broadway run in New York City and are now planning a more extensive tour in New York, New Jersey, and Conn.
