Abstract
"Along the Waterfront" piece about boatbuilder Malcolm Pettegrow, of Southwest Harbor, who, this winter, will be building his biggest boat yet--a sixty-seven foot sport fisherman for a Massachusetts man who bought a forty-seven footer from him a few years ago. At this year's WoodenBoat Show, he exhibited another recent model, a forty-four foot express cruiser, made with a modern wood-epoxy technology, which employs strip-planked Duracore Laminated with epoxy-impregnated directional fabrics. Pettegrow's show is also finishing off a couple of picnic boats from fiberglass hulls by Jarvis Newman and Belfast's Holland Boat Shop
