Abstract

"I Remember" piece in which Jim Higgins reminisces about his boyhood fascination with airplanes and how crop-duster Ernie Pretsch, working out of the "airport" in Caribou during the Depression, taught him to fly. After just a few short lessons, and around the time of Higgins' sixteenth birthday, Pretsch, let him fly solo.
