    Abstract

    "North by East" piece reporting that the Maine Department of Transportation will replace Sullivan's famous "singing bridge" in Washington County, which creates a humming sound as tires pass over it. The metal bridge, which spans the reach between Sullivan Harbor and Taunton Bay, is considered the narrowest bridge on all of Route 1, at twenty feet shoulder to shoulder.
