Abstract
Although special-interest niche cable-TV networks are now commonplace, one of the first in America was Portland's Resort Sports Network, which is still operated by its founder, Rory Strunk. Fifty winter resorts pipe its ski-oriented programming into their hotel rooms, public areas, and condominiums. Strunk has expanded into warm-weather sports programming.
