Abstract

"Dining Down East" piece on the Center Lovell Inn, owned by Janice and Richard Cox , who paid $100 to enter an essay contest devised by former owners Bill and Susie Mosca as a way to sell the inn. The contest four years ago captured media attention and sparked a copycat boom. The Coxes were from Maryland. Janice's parents, Earle and Harriet Sage, also pulled up roots to help run the inn.
