Abstract

"North by East" piece on The National Pork Producers Council, which is claiming that the Maine Lobster Promotion Council has stolen its thunder by declaring lobster "the ultimate white meat." The pig producers proudly claim that pork is the "other white meat." The lobster council has used the phrase in its promotional material since 1993. The pork producers have filed a $75,000 lawsuit to force a change.
