Abstract

"North by East" piece on Chad Callan and Soren Hansen, University of Maine doctoral students in the School of Marine Sciences. They want raise ornamental tropical fish, which are often harvested in ways harmful to their habitat. The fish spawn often and make good research species and are a $300-million industry. The two researchers have 30 species under study.
