Abstract

"Down East Bookshelf" piece on "The Maine Poets: An Anthology of Verse," edited by Wesley McNair. With a list of poets who were left out of the anthology, including some seasonal residents, and criticism about the anthology's lack of "the epic, the visual, the disjunctive, the political." However, the book is acknowledged as being the best (and almost only) Maine poetry anthology.
